Solar Eclipse S'mores

Updated: Apr 21

If you’re looking for a fun activity/craft/experiment/recipe to do with kids to celebrate the eclipse on April 8, 2024 why not try making some s’mores in a solar oven?

Okay, I’ll admit solar ovens require actual sun to work. Soooo maybe trying to cook food during the actual eclipse might not be the best idea but it’s a really fun activity any time the sun is shining. And, to be honest, I look for any excuse to make s’mores!

Plus this project uses materials you most likely have and it’s a great way to introduce concepts like light absorption and reflection while introducing STEAM concepts.

Now, you’re cooking with STEAM! 🧑‍🍳
