Can I book a school assembly without the professional development workshop?
Yes. The professional development workshop is an optional add-on. Every Story-Powered School Assembly already includes the Story-Maker Classroom Experience, so every participating teacher receives the Story-Maker Lab materials whether or not a workshop is added.
Can I book a professional development workshop without booking a school assembly?
Yes. Creative Literacy Workshops for Teachers can be booked as a stand-alone professional development experience. Please contact Jill at jill@pageturneradventures.com for scheduling, availability, and pricing.
What is included with a Story-Powered School Assembly?
Every Story-Powered School Assembly includes an interactive live theater performance and the Story-Maker Classroom Experience. After the show, every teacher receives classroom-ready videos, lessons, and activities that help kids explore story structure while creating and publishing their own pop-up books.
What happens in the Story-Maker Lab if my students are not yet writing?
There are two versions of the Story-Maker Lab.
The Grades K–2 version helps children explore story structure through drawing and visual storytelling.
The Grades 3–6 version helps children explore story structure through creative writing.
Both versions include creating a pop-up book that brings each child's original story to life.
What grade levels are the Story-Powered School Assemblies designed for?
Our Story-Powered School Assemblies are designed for elementary students in grades K–5. We recommend separate assemblies for K-2nd and 3rd-5th. Story-Maker Lab activities are appropriate for the participating grade levels.
How long are the Creative Literacy Workshops?
Creative Literacy Workshops are available as 60-90 minute, half-day, and full-day hands-on workshops, depending on your school's goals and schedule.
How does the Story-Maker Lab connect to the school assembly?
The live show inspires imagination and active participation. The Story-Maker Lab extends that experience into the classroom, where kids use guided activities to create their own original stories and pop-up books.
